Computer Aided Design

Heavy Engineering Cad capabilities

Finite Element Analysis

Applying this process to initial, effective material selection ensures that design strength and product reliability are assured from the outset, with FEA also providing a detailed understanding of the root cause of possible failures and accidents so that important product enhancements can be successfully implemented. As such, one of the key benefits of FEA is its ability to reduce physical testing costs by almost 80%.

Product Design & Development

From the design stage, Whale Engineering works with clients throughout the product development process in a fully-structured and transparent manner, whether in relation to materials processing and forming, and in conjunction with a proven and effective supply chain.

Product Support & Testing

Putting in place the correct and required support systems is of critical importance to the success of any product. At Whale Engineering this extends to the production of all relevant operating manuals, technical documentation, program encryption and troubleshooting, the aim being to provide value-added support to both the product itself and the customer.
With a proven track record in the design and manufacturing of pressure vessels, the safety and analysis capabilities of Whale Engineering remain at the forefront of the industry.  For example, Each and every pressure vessel undergoes radiographic testing to analyse the quality of all welds. The same is equally applicable to castings, where each one undergoes a series of ultrasonic tests to guarantee quality of manufacture.
In many instances, Whale Engineering’s utilises additional safety equipment, for example, the use Pressure Relief Valves integrated in pressure tanks. Multi filters on air flows and liquid lines are also deployed to deliver improved product reliability.
